The City of Dunsmuir has done tree removal work in several locations around town for various reasons, including removing dead and dying trees and reducing tree density for wildfire mitigation purposes.
Some of those trees were removed because they were leaning over the Castle Rock Bottling Plant, while others were removed to make way for the future ultraviolet emergency water treatment facility.

The City of Dunsmuir received a small grant totaling $2,550 from the Pacific Power Foundation to purchase visual and audio equipment and technology for the Dunsmuir Community Center.
The forecast indicates 4-8” of snow is possible in Dunsmuir over the next 3 days. Snow will likely arrive in waves and will not be continuous. Snowplow operations will begin if and when 3+ inches of snow accumulates on City streets.
