The National Weather Service in Medford has designated Dunsmuir as its newest StormReady Community.
Dunsmuir is the first city in Siskiyou County to receive the StormReady designation. Siskiyou County also holds this designation.
StormReady is a designation given to communities demonstrating proactive emergency planning for hazardous weather operations.
